Macstaff are proud to have become signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant.

It’s a commitment that reflects our values as a business and our respect for those who serve.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a national promise – a pledge that those who serve or have served in the UK Armed Forces, along with their families, will be treated fairly and not disadvantaged in everyday life.

By signing the Covenant, we are choosing to stand behind that promise and play our part in supporting the armed forces community.

Macstaff MD, Anthony McCormack, said he felt a sense of honour to bring Macstaff in behind the Armed Forces Covenant banner.

“This is about more than recognition, it’s about responsibility,” he said. “We recognise the immense value that service leavers, reservists and military families bring to the workforce, from discipline and leadership to resilience and adaptability.

“Being associated with the Covenant is something we are incredibly proud of. It aligns with our commitment to integrity, fairness and opportunity, and strengthens our mission to connect talented individuals with meaningful careers.

Veterans

“And there are many reasons to promote the recruitment of armed forces personnel, including veterans. Some logical, some emotional, some practical and some patriotic.

“I encourage my recruitment colleagues to be open-minded when you review CV’s of ex-military personnel. They will bring a great deal to the table.

I think it’s tough to find the same level of tenacity and teamwork anywhere else.

“We encourage other businesses to take the same step and get behind the Armed Forces Covenant. Some real impact can be achieved when organisations actively support those who have given so much to our country.

As Winston Churchill once said: “Never was so much owed by so many to so few.”
